Ayam Cemani
VIKTOR:
Meet Viktor, he is approximately 8 months old. We tried some fertile hatching eggs from ebay and out of the 6 eggs we were sent - he was the only one to hatch in the incubator. He is very loved and spoiled and has made a lovely relationship with another Ayam Cemani hen that we call his wife (Goldberg).
GOLDBERG:
Meet Goldberg, Viktor's wife! ha! She came from a farm in Chesterfield with one of her sisters. Was very timid when first arrived here, but now a very social girl. Enjoys perching on the roof of the coop at night with Viktor (before bed time).
CHUCK:
Meet Chuck, 9 weeks old now. Very active little character, was hatched in the incubator and enjoys being picked up by humans. Also enjoys jumping up onto human shoulders and heads!
UN-NAMED CEMANI BANTAM CROSS
We thought this hen was purely a cemani at first, but - as she has grown she has developed extra colouring. Notice the black feet (usually cemani) but also some amber feathering coming on. We look forward to seeing how she looks when fully grown (currently 9 weeks old).
